Only one man for job.
Mr Mark Noble.
Losing his influence in the drsssing room is massive. Having him stay around in a coaching role would be good all round.

Re: PEARCE steps down
Pearce said: “It is with a heavy heart that I have made this decision to leave West Ham United. It has been a pleasure and a privilege to work at the Club over the past two years, but I have decided that now is the right time to step away and pursue other opportunities and challenges.

“I’d like to take this opportunity to thank David Moyes, David Sullivan, David Gold and Karren Brady for giving me the opportunity to return to West Ham. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my time here – the football club is united at all levels and that is very pleasing to see.

“It has been fantastic to work with the players and staff every day at Rush Green, a very special environment that I will miss greatly. I wish everyone at the Club all the very best for the future and will always have a special place in my heart for West Ham United.“

Probably wants another crack as a manager. Good luck to him.

Probably media options and probably because a horse and coaches ran through our defense on Sunday.

Re: PEARCE steps down
That IS a shame.

I agree, he may well be lined up for management again, or he's going on tour with The Stranglers.

Whatever it is, I wish him nothing but the best of luck with his next pursuit.

The cones will be in good hands next season

Re: PEARCE steps down
Good luck to him but if someone is gonna give him a management job they need their heads testing. He falls in the same category as Tony Adams, great player but hasn’t a clue when it comes to management.

Re: PEARCE steps down
I would get Noble involved in the coaching even if we do bring in another experienced coach that replaces Pearce.

We are really going to miss Noble’s leadership and character around the dressing room next season so having him as a coach is the next best thing.

Never been a fan of his, seems a decent enough bloke but really not sure what he brought to the table.

Re: PEARCE steps down
I read that statement as a thinly veiled dig at Moyes.

He must have realised what a dinosaur "nearly man" he has been working for after the recent capitulation in the League and Europa League, or has been 'leaned on' to step aside for 'club legend' Noble to take his place.

Cant see Nobes taking it yet made it clear he wants some time off, maybe Carrick?

great pro & bloke, no surprise the usual wankers can't help having a dig. I wish him well

Re: Pearce steps down
Not sure that Noble would replace him since Pearce role was a defensive coach.

May be the realisation that most of the goals we conceded came from the left hand side, 2 of the goals we conceded against Frankfurt came from the left hand side.

Re: Pearce steps down
Pearce is 4/1 for the QPR job and supported them as a kid.
Unlikely i would of thought but who knows.
